I have committed to walking in the 2008 Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in Boston, MA. I am being joined by good friend Melissa M. and am actively recruiting two more co-workers. Initially I thought in order not to scare people away I would just ask a few friends to volunteer with me. As I read more about it, it just seemed to be such a life changing experience for the people that did walk. The fundraising challenge for each person is $1800. When I broke it down into people or businesses and what I thought I could ask it didn't seem so daunting. We have 111 days and it is my hope to knock out the fundraising goal so I can focus more intently on the training required to walk 39 miles over two days. It is my hope that my work, my effort, my fundraising will be filled with positivity.
